Softeners, Filters, & Purifiers

The very first step to water treatment of any kind is a water test…
The very first step to water treatment of any kind is a water test. A municipal water supply report only tells you the condition of your water at the supply, not at your faucet. Be skeptical of free water tests which can add an unnecessary bias to your water quality decisions. Your requirement for accuracy will determine whether you use an inexpensive “at home” test, or an independent laboratory. Fortunately, nearly every water quality problem has a solution. Softeners, conditioners, reverse osmosis units, ion filters, micron filters, point of use or whole house filters all have their own applications. Let us help you choose and install your water treatment equipment or simply give you the peace of mind that your existing water quality meets your requirements.

Cable Cleaning

A cable cleaning machine consists of a motor which drives a long metal snake through your drain pipes.
A cable cleaning machine consists of a motor which drives a long metal snake through your drain pipes. A number of different head attachments are used for different applications and navigation of your plumbing and DWV(drain waste vent) system. These machines are powerful and good at breaking through harder clogs, but they don't excel at cleaning the sidewalls of your drain. These build ups or constrictions, at some point in the future, will likely be the source of another clog. Despite this drawback, cable machines are the most common method of cleaning a drain and are highly effective for most stoppages.

Jetter Cleaning

Unlike cable machines, jetters force a high pressure water stream through a nozzle, which is attached to a long flexible hose.
Unlike cable machines, jetters force a high pressure water stream through a nozzle, which is attached to a long flexible hose. This hose is run through your drain pipe blasting a 4000 PSI water jet around the entire circumference of your pipe. This method will produce much cleaner, smoother results. Often a combination of both types of equipment is necessary, beginning with a cable machine to open the line and finishing with a jetter to scour the inside of the pipes.

Chemical Cleaners & Root Management

Chemical cleaners can be effective for certain clogs and may get a line running a little better, but often the problem returns.
Chemical cleaners can be effective for certain clogs and may get a line running a little better, but often the problem returns. Always inform service people of any drain cleaners that you may have used, as certain combinations can be dangerous. Roots seek out water through cracks and joints in your sewer line and can be difficult to deal with. Root treatment chemicals are designed to kill roots inside your drain while not killing trees or vegetation. Look for a treatment that foams inside the pipe rather than just flowing underneath the root tips. A combination of cable cleaning, jetter cleaning, and a root management plan could protect you from an expensive main sewer line replacement.
